Abstract: A household is considered to be housing cost-burdened when its housing costs are greater than 30% of its income. Households at lower incomes are more likely to be housing cost-burdened than those at higher incomes. In fact, 46% of Hoosier renters are housing cost-burdened, particularly at lower incomes.
