Abstract: Our dataset and approach complement richly detailed studies of supply-chain restructuring in individual industries by providing a more systematic analysis of manufacturing. Recoded across decades for consistency in terms of industries and occupations, these data provide the means to track long-range shifts in manufacturing across multiple, simultaneous dimensions.
