Abstract: "World Bank Publications and Neoclassical Modeling": This paper examines changes in the World Bank's analytical framework between 1983 and 2011 using a sample of the Bank's most prominent reports. It engages the concurrent development of technical critiques, alternative analysis, and frameworks that did not gain the same level of traction. By placing these two sets of texts in dialogue, it analyzes the robustness of the Bank's neoclassical assumptions and findings and its use of these results. The paper concludes discussing institutional changes affecting the Bank's research and its lending conditionality and summarizes recommendations to promote a more responsive and dynamic research agenda. "The Impact of Housing Policy on Housing Affordability for Renters, Homeowners and Mobile Homeowners": This study evaluates the impact of financial and housing policy on housing affordability in the United States, taking into consideration household level and macroeconomic factors using longitudinal panel data from the Integrated Public Use Microdata Series (IPUMS) from 1960 to 2005. Changes in rental payments-to-income, mortgage payments-to-income and mobile home payments-to-income ratios are assessed P R E V I E W
