Abstract: This study examines the unique effects of alcohol outlets on street robbery in a Southeastern city in the United States from 2010 to 2011. Although previous studies generally support the criminogenic effects of alcohol outlets, the implications of their findings are limited because they have not adequately addressed three theoretical and methodological issues.
