Abstract: Analyzing household income trends across Indiana enables us to understand challenges facing Hoosiers seeking high-quality, affordable housing. In 2013, an estimated 70% of Hoosier households owned their homes, while 30% rented. At $60,041, the median income of homeowners is more than twice that of renters, at $27,005.
