Abstract: The purpose of the study is to expand our knowledge & appreciation of the dimensions of ethnic minority aging by undertaking an exploratory analysis of selected members of the older West Indian migrant population in the United States. The study uses census (IPUMS) and original field survey data to analyze the socio-economic status and living arrangements of community dwelling women, aged 55 years and over, who were born in the English-speaking Caribbean and are resident in Greater Hartford, Connecticut.
