Abstract: The BLS Survey of Occupational Injuries and Illnesses offers many advantages over the other data systems, and the BLS has been working on improvements to increase its accuracy and scope; nevertheless, there is a debate about whether the survey undercounts injuries and illnesses to any significant extent.
