Abstract: 0ver the past several decades, Oregon has emerged as an increasingly popular destination for many newly arrived immigrants looking to build new lives in the United States. In 1990, immigrants accounted for almost 5 percent of Oregons total population. By 2010, that share had doubled, reaching almost 9.8 percent. In more recent years, such patterns have only continued.
