Abstract: The statewide Census GIS datasets were created to streamline the process for completing demographic assessments for NCDOT projects. The Census GIS datasets were created using both the decennial and American Community Survey (ACS) data from the U.S. Census Bureau. In addition to the Census GIS datasets, a corresponding Demographic Excel Tool is included, which is comprised of the most commonly used tables in reporting by the NCDOT Community Studies.
