Abstract: In the United States, achieving and maintaining high population immunization rates for a number of vaccines has become a public health priority, and this has resulted in the implementation of a broad set of vaccination policies. In this dissertation I rigorously examine several such policies that have been widely implemented in the United States in the past few decades. Through the application of established empirical methodologies, I am able to estimate the causal effects of these policies on a range of outcomes, and my results have clear policy implications.
