Abstract: Latino (Hispanic) workers, the fastest growing segment of the labor force, have one of the highest rates of poverty, unemployment and occupational segregation in the country. This study focuses on occupation, one of the most important socioeconomic indicators of the status of workers. The purpose of this report is to examine the occupational allocation of Hispanic workers and assess the factors that affect the pace of their occupational status and mobility.
