Abstract: A national assessment of compliance and related solutions is a necessary next step in increasing access to safe drinking water across the United States. This report represents a first step in outlining what an assessment of that scale can and should look like in the next decade. It identifies and describes four key phases such an assessment would need to undertake; existing and emerging efforts to build on; as well as data, analytical and policy challenges and gaps such an effort would face.
