Abstract: MDT engaged a team led by Keen Independent Research LLC (Keen Independent) to prepare the 2016 Availability and Disparity Study, which focuses on participation of minority- and women-owned firms in MDT’s contracts from October 2009 through September 2014. The disparity study also analyzes conditions for minorities and women, and minority- and women-owned firms within the Montana marketplace. The study examines steps to encourage utilization of all small businesses in MDT contracts as well as programs specific to DBEs.
