Abstract: This appendix describes the data, methods, and statistical programs used to construct the historical occupation-level employment and unemployment series in Foote and Ryan (forthcoming). We also describe the occupational codes that are applied to 19762013 microdata from the Current Population Survey (CPS). Finally, we outline some standard statistical adjustments made to the occupation-level wage averages and worker flows generated from the CPS.
