Title: The Receipt of Subsidized Housing Across Gerations

Citation Type: Journal Article

Publication Year: 2014

Abstract: In this paper, I ask whether children who grow up in subsidized housing return to the program as adults. I use the Panel Study of Income Dynamics (PSID) and Inverse Probability of Treatment Weighting (IPTW) to compare children who grew up in subsidized housing to those who did not but lived in households eligible to receive the subsidy. I nd that children who grew up in subsidized housing have small albeit statistically signicant probabilities of returning to subsidized housing as adults.
