Abstract: Economists have long recognized that schooling and experience are two of the most important aspects of earnings determination. Given the importance of these two variables, a natural question is: how do es their interaction affect earnings? In other words, do educated workers have a higher or lower wage increase as they accumulate experience? Which theories can explain this relationship?
