Abstract: This report uses extant public data to determine whether the degree of employment of recently discharged veterans is commensurate with their education and training. The report also looks at transition assistance, public vs. private sector employment, distribution by occupations, and senior-level management. The primary data sets used are: the decennial Census (PUMS), CPS (Annual Demographic Supplement and the Veterans Supplement), and the Study of Income and Program Participation. This report will be submitted to Congress by the Department of Veteran Affairs.
