Abstract: In 2017, Weekendavisen published an article in connection with my doctoral dissertation with the title: "Learn the language, move, marry the others". With this, the journalist sought to extract the essence of a main theme in the thesis, namely how the integration process has progressed over the 4-5 generations that have passed since the Scandinavian emigrants in large numbers sought America.
