Abstract: This chapter discusses the number of working opportunities that are available to minorities in Britain and the United States, and studies the prospects which minorities have of finding (good) work and how often they are able to have successful careers. It studies detailed data taken from the national census that shows how minorities fare compared to the white majority and how the chances of getting ahead in the workplace differ between various minority groups.
