Abstract: This analysis examines the impact of automation on the composition of occupational employment for the United States, Wisconsin and Central Wisconsin. Specifically, we analyze how computer-based technologies and robotics have contributed to job polarization by reducing the number of middle-skilled jobs while bolstering employment in both low-and-high skilled jobs.
