Abstract: This report was written in support of an application to the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) from The Southeast Disability and Business Technical Assistance Center (DBTAC) at the Georgia Institute of Technology and the Burton Blatt Institute (BBI) at Syracuse University. It examines the demographic and economic characteristics of the eight states in the southeastern region of the United States. Particular attention is given to the characteristics of the disabled population.
