Abstract: Paper builds on previous work of the authors, incorporating additional data from textual and state report sources. Multiple data sources support idea that parents in Las Animas and Huerfano Counties in southern Colorado valued education beyond the elementary grades and supported their sons and daughter's attendance in high school.
