Abstract: In 2017 Milner Library at Illinois State University received a grant from the Digitizing Hidden Collections program, a national grant competition administered by the Council on Library & Information Resources (CLIR), for a collaborative digitization project of circus route books held by Circus World, Illinois State University, and the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art. The three institutions house the largest circus collections in the United States and collectively they shared their unique route books to build a digital collection for the Step Right Up: Digitizing Over 100 Years of Circus Route Books project.
