Abstract: In January 2010, a report was released for the Office of the Vice President’s Middle Class Task Force. The report, entitled Middle Class in America, characterized the aspirations of middle class families, tabulated the associated costs of achieving these aspirations, determined whether actual family incomes were capable of covering the costs, and described how the ability of families to achieve a middle class lifestyle has changed over time. The Bell Policy Center is interested in understanding similar issues for families in Colorado.
